Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla met with a cohort of Group-I probationary officers in training at the Dr MCR HRD Institute on Monday, emphasising the importance of serving citizens with integrity and commitment to duty.

The gathering at Lok Bhavan brought together 44 probationary Deputy Collectors, with Vice Chairman and Managing Director Dr Shanti Kumari overseeing the session. The Governor extended congratulations to the trainees and offered encouragement for their professional journeys ahead, taking time to speak with each officer individually and acknowledge their dedication to the public sector.

During his address, the Governor stressed that public administration extends far beyond wielding authority—it represents a fundamental obligation to society and the nation. He underscored that these emerging administrative leaders must approach their roles with compassion, integrity, and wholehearted commitment as they serve the people of Telangana.

The Governor expressed optimism that the officers' dedication and earnestness would prove instrumental in advancing ethical governance and fostering Telangana's development. The programme emphasised the need for these young administrators to sustain high ethical standards and maintain a people-focused approach throughout their careers in government service.

The event was attended by Dr Shanti Kumari and other senior officials from the institute.
