Sharp Decline in Precious Metal Prices Brings Relief to Hyderabad Buyers

The Hyderabad bullion market has witnessed a substantial correction in precious metal valuations, ending a four-day rally that had kept prices elevated.
Twenty-four carat gold has declined by Rs 2,240 per 10 grams, now quoting at Rs 1,60,090 in local trading. The 22-carat variety used in jewellery manufacturing has similarly retreated, dropping Rs 2,050 per 10 grams to settle at Rs 1,46,750.
The pullback has provided much-needed relief to jewellery purchasers who had been holding back from transactions during the recent upward movement.
Industry analysts point to multiple factors driving the correction. Fluctuations in global commodity markets, shifts in the currency landscape, and strategic profit realisation by investors have all contributed to the downward pressure on prices.
Silver has experienced even more pronounced volatility. Over a two-day period, the white metal shed nearly Rs 15,000 per kilogram, with Friday alone accounting for a Rs 10,000 per kilogram decline. Silver is presently trading at Rs 3,05,000 per kilogram, a significant retreat from the elevated levels maintained through Wednesday.
Market observers note that the recent movement in precious metals reflects broader international developments. Movements in the dollar index and geopolitical developments in West Asia have influenced investor sentiment and trading patterns. As uncertainty persists in global financial markets, investors have increasingly moved to lock in gains accumulated during the earlier price surge.
The correction has provided both retail and institutional buyers with an opportunity to reassess their positioning in the precious metals space.
