Godrej Unveils Facial Recognition Home Locker and Connected Smart Home Ecosystem
Godrej Enterprises Group has unveiled a suite of advanced security and smart home technologies, marking significant firsts for the Indian market. The company unveiled NX Pro Ncrypt at Smart Home Expo 2026 in Bangalore, establishing itself as the first to bring facial recognition technology to home lockers in the country.
The new home locker system combines facial recognition, biometric fingerprint authentication, and digital PIN protection, giving users the flexibility to activate single or dual-mode security depending on their needs. The technology employs advanced AES encryption to transform facial data into secure digital templates rather than storing actual images, substantially enhancing privacy and data security measures.
Godrej's latest offering extends beyond the home locker to encompass a comprehensive connected home environment built on Advantis IoT9 technology. This fully integrated platform, developed domestically, enables homes to respond intelligently to residents' movements and preferences. Upon biometric entry, the system automatically adjusts lighting, air conditioning, and other environmental settings based on each user's established preferences without requiring manual intervention.
The company has committed to investing 100 crores across the next three years to accelerate development of digital, interconnected, and consumer-focused security technologies. This investment aims to enhance personalization, strengthen privacy protections, and improve convenience for homeowners.
Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head of Security Solutions at Godrej Enterprises Group, emphasized that modern security solutions must balance strength and reliability with thoughtful design and intuitive operation. "At Godrej, we believe security should not feel complicated or distant, but reassuring, accessible, and built around our customers," he stated. "With India's first facial recognition-enabled home locker and our connected home ecosystem powered by Advantis IoT9, we are eliminating friction from everyday living, creating homes that anticipate needs and respond seamlessly to the those who occupy it."
The company also introduced India's first web-based access system for connected hospitality locks, allowing guests to check in and out through secure weblinks. This innovation eliminates the need for reception desk queues, enabling faster and contactless guest experiences that could reshape hospitality operations across the country.
These developments underscore Godrej Enterprises Group's positioning as a technology-driven innovator in the safety and smart living sector, advancing how Indians experience security and convenience across residential and hospitality environments.
