Major Travel Industry Convergence Scheduled for Miami in October 2026

The World Travel Exchange (WTE) Miami is set to host a landmark gathering of the global travel sector on October 27-28, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Following its acquisition by Fairfest Media earlier this year, the event is anticipated to significantly expand its reach and influence.
The conference will draw more than 500 exhibitors alongside 7,000 qualified buyers, including 500 hosted and VIP attendees, along with prominent figures from the international tourism community. The gathering is positioned as the largest assembly of National Tourism Organizations ever held at a travel trade show in the Americas.
"The travel sector stands at a pivotal moment in its transformation," remarked Simon Press, managing director international at Fairfest Inc. "Artificial intelligence is reshaping how travelers research and reserve trips. Buyer preferences are shifting, fresh sales channels are opening, and the competition for the American traveler has intensified. Despite these changes, the U.S. travel market—both for domestic and international journeys—remains robust. WTE Miami exists to equip North American travel professionals with the insights and international partnerships essential for thriving amid rapid industry evolution."
The 2026 edition centers on the theme "Travel Advisor of the Future," acknowledging how the profession is adapting to technological advancement, changing consumer demands, and new market channels. The program will feature over 100 speakers delivering 20+ sessions that examine trends, innovations, and business approaches reshaping the travel distribution landscape. Topics will encompass artificial intelligence applications in destination promotion, visitor experience optimization, and sales channels, as well as current patterns in American consumer travel behavior, international travel demand, the impact of travel advisors, digital platforms, influencer-driven tourism promotion, and analytics-based destination strategies.
Industry organizations including Host Agency Reviews, the Adventure Travel Trade Association, and the African Travel Association are collaborating on the program's development. This partnership ensures the conference delivers practical training for advisors while incorporating destination knowledge and perspectives from the worldwide travel community. Each session aims to provide travel professionals with concrete approaches to boost productivity, deepen business relationships, and uncover expansion possibilities.
The event is structured as a commercial marketplace rather than merely an exhibition. It combines advance-booked business meetings, professional networking opportunities, and an executive conference, bringing together destination boards, carriers, accommodation providers, travel consultants, tour companies, software firms, and tourism bodies with serious purchasers interested in new offerings, collaborations, and commercial prospects.
The buyer engagement strategy will orchestrate numerous scheduled and spontaneous meetings between vendors and serious purchasers from across the American travel sector—encompassing solo practitioners, home-based consultants, and teams affiliated with host agencies and travel consortia. This creates avenues for fresh partnerships, entry into new territories, and business expansion.
Spanning all segments of the travel business, WTE Miami enables international companies to tap into one of the planet's most significant travel marketplaces while establishing enduring commercial ties throughout North America and internationally.
The initiative is being executed in collaboration with Miami International Airport and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, cementing Miami's standing as a leading worldwide hub for international travel.
Industry backing comes from established associations including Skål, the American Society of Travel Advisors, the Adventure Travel Trade Association, and the African Travel Association, underscoring collective dedication to advancing worldwide tourism and generating fresh possibilities for destinations and travel sector participants. Approximately 20 national tourism boards will take part in the 2026 event, joined by destination representatives, airlines, hotel groups, and travel tech firms from over 70 nations.
Among the confirmed participants are the Jamaica Tourist Board, South African Tourism, China National Tourist Office, Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, Maldives Mission to the United Nations, Belize Tourism Board, Honduras Tourism, Royal Jordanian, Iberia, SKY Airline, Frenchbee, Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels, Juniper Travel Technology, and TBO.com, with additional exhibitors and partners to be revealed in the coming months.
