HYDERABAD — A significant institutional collaboration took shape on Friday as GITAM Kautilya School of Public Policy and the RBVRR Telangana Police Academy formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening governance studies, policy research, and law enforcement training.

The agreement was formalized when Director General of Police and Telangana Police Academy Director Abhilasha Bisht and GITAM Registrar D. Gunasekaran exchanged the MoU documents at a formal programme held in the city.

The signing underscores a broader recognition of the value that partnerships between educational institutions and specialized training academies bring to advancing professional standards and policy innovation. Both signatories emphasized how such collaborations enhance governance studies and capacity development across sectors.

Deputy Director (In-service) G. Kavitha, speaking at the event, highlighted how institutional partnerships strengthen professional education and deepen engagement with public policy challenges facing contemporary society.

Joint Training and Development Initiatives

Under the partnership framework, GITAM Kautilya School and the Telangana Police Academy will jointly conduct training programmes, workshops, seminars, and conferences targeting police personnel and officers at various levels. The arrangement also includes provisions for faculty and expert exchanges, enabling knowledge transfer and professional development across both organizations.

The collaboration has identified several strategic areas for joint focus: cyber law and cybersecurity, human rights and constitutional law, public policy and governance, and leadership and management practices.

Officials involved in the initiative described it as a reflection of shared commitment to strengthening professional education and fostering interdisciplinary approaches to complex governance and policing challenges.

The event concluded with remarks from Academy Deputy Director (OD) P. Sri Rama Murthy. Shivangi Sharma, General Manager (Programs), and Shivangi Pandey, Program Manager (MPP), represented GITAM Kautilya School of Public Policy during the proceedings.
