Telangana Expands GHMC Services on MeeSeva WhatsApp Platform

Hyderabad — The Telangana administration has rolled out nine fresh GHMC services on the MeeSeva WhatsApp platform, strengthening digital service delivery across the state.

The Electronic Service Delivery division unveiled these additions to enhance convenience and transparency for residents. IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu spearheaded this expansion initiative.

The MeeSeva WhatsApp and chatbot service became operational on November 18, 2025. Since its launch, the platform has enabled citizens to obtain multiple government services online.

The newly available GHMC services encompass property assessment revision, birth and death correction, registration of births and deaths at home, property door number correction, property name correction, property tax services, and trade licence renewal. These additions allow residents to complete municipal transactions through WhatsApp without visiting physical offices.

How to Access the Services

Citizens wishing to use these services must first save the official MeeSeva WhatsApp number 8096958096. After saving the contact, users should initiate the interaction by sending a "Hi" message to activate the chatbot. They can then specify the required service and select the "Open Service" option.

The process requires users to fill in an application form with their details and proceed with payment. Upon successful payment completion, the system automatically files the application through WhatsApp.

Strong Adoption Rates

The government has reported considerable uptake of the MeeSeva WhatsApp platform since its introduction. Officials have noted that the channel has rapidly become one of Telangana's most widely adopted digital public service offerings.

Birth certificates, income certificates, police challans, electricity bills, and BIE results have emerged as the most frequently accessed services through the platform. State authorities have committed to further expanding the range of digital services and improving accessibility through MeeSeva channels.
