GHMC Evaluates Pre-SIR Mapping Progress in Malakpet Assembly Constituency

Hyderabad: Electoral officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) convened on Tuesday to assess the status of Pre-SIR mapping operations across the 58-Malakpet Assembly constituency. The evaluation was initiated following directives from GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer RV Karnan.

Assistant Commissioner (Election) Chandrakala presided over the assessment session, which brought together Electoral Registration Officers, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, and BLO Supervisors from the constituency.

The session centred on three key areas: ensuring precision in voter information verification, executing booth-level mapping procedures, and meeting established timelines for completing all Pre-SIR mapping operations.

Officials received instructions to enhance inter-departmental coordination at the ground level to facilitate effective implementation of the mapping exercise. Particular attention was directed towards strengthening oversight of Booth Level Officers throughout the process.

During her remarks, Chandrakala underscored the necessity of rigorous compliance with Election Commission guidelines while carrying out the Pre-SIR exercise. She highlighted the critical role of data accuracy in voter records and the importance of reinforcing supervisory frameworks during on-ground activities.

The gathering also addressed strategies to strengthen monitoring protocols and communication channels among election personnel deployed in the constituency. Officials reviewed the current state of verification work being conducted at individual booths.

The review session formed part of systematic efforts to ensure Pre-SIR activities are concluded within the prescribed schedule.
