Hyderabad's civic administration held a public grievance hearing at GHMC headquarters on Monday, fielding 65 complaints through its Prajavani initiative.

GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, IAS, led the proceedings alongside key administrative figures including the Additional Commissioners for Administration, Health and Sanitation, the Chief Engineer, Chief City Planner, Director of Urban Building Development, Joint Commissioner for Administration, Chief Valuation Officer, Land Acquisition officials and the Additional Commissioner of Civil Police.

The headquarters emerged as the primary point of complaint registration, collecting 30 grievances—roughly half of the total intake. Khairatabad Zone filed 14 complaints, while Shamshabad Zone submitted 10. Secunderabad Zone recorded six grievances and Rajendranagar Zone accounted for five. Neither Charminar Zone nor Golconda Zone registered any complaints during the session.

Senior officials systematically reviewed each submission, examining matters spanning administrative processes, sanitation infrastructure, urban planning and broader civic service delivery across the city's various zones.

The Prajavani programme functions as a structured mechanism enabling residents to directly engage with top-ranking civic officials regarding pressing local concerns. GHMC conducts these hearings periodically to maintain direct communication channels with the public and address outstanding civic issues systematically.
