GHMC Commissioner Inspects Census Operations in Shamshabad Circle

Hyderabad's municipal administration oversaw progress on Census enumeration work this week as R.V. Karnan, the GHMC Commissioner and Principal Census Officer, made an on-ground visit to Shamshabad Circle.

Karnan inspected Census House Listing and Enumeration operations taking place in Enumeration Block Nos. 94 and 83 on Thursday, examining how the survey effort was advancing across the area.

According to municipal officials, field teams have been conducting systematic door-to-door surveys aimed at capturing complete household data with precision and meeting collection timelines. The work involves coordinated efforts between GHMC personnel, enumerators, and field staff executing house listing and enumeration tasks.

During his inspection, the Commissioner observed field-level operations that comprise the broader Census exercise. Officials stated that field teams have been consistently monitoring enumeration progress to ensure the process proceeds without disruption.

The Commissioner directed staff to prioritise accuracy while working toward efficient completion of the enumeration phase of the Census.
