Gandhi Nagar Police Station Earns ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Service Excellence

Hyderabad's Gandhi Nagar Police Station has secured ISO 9001:2015 certification, marking recognition of its commitment to citizen-focused services, operational efficiency, and modernized facilities.

The certification followed an extensive upgrade programme spearheaded by Inspector N. Bose Kiran, who led the station's comprehensive transformation efforts. DCP Secunderabad Zone Rashita Krishnamurthy inaugurated the refurbished premises, with Additional DCP J. Narasiah, ACP A. Yadagiri, and other senior police officials present at the event.

Infrastructure and Administrative Improvements

The modernization initiative encompassed systematic reorganization of documentation systems, including the systematic arrangement of files, FIR records, and case property storage facilities. The station underwent both interior and exterior renovation work, with energy-efficient LED lighting installed throughout the premises.

Addressing longstanding maintenance concerns, officials implemented waterproofing solutions to resolve drainage and leakage problems. The station also cleared operational space by removing and relocating abandoned and seized vehicles. A dedicated reception counter was established for visitor management, while seating arrangements for the public were enhanced.

Working conditions for staff received attention as well, with upgrades made to barracks and rest facilities for personnel.

Environmental and Green Initiatives

The station launched several sustainability measures across its grounds. Vertical planter installations and air-purifying plants were introduced, while overgrown vegetation was pruned to optimize natural ventilation and light. Senior officers participated in tree-planting activities to increase green coverage within the station compound.

These collective efforts have resulted in a facility that now demonstrates elevated administrative standards, improved citizen amenities, and an environmentally conscious operational setting.
