Greater Noida — Galgotias University has established a dynamic ecosystem for mobile app development, with students having successfully published 34 iOS applications on the Apple App Store. The achievement stems from the institution's iOS Student Developer Program, a collaborative initiative powered by Apple and Infosys.

The university's commitment to hands-on technical education has enabled students to move beyond traditional classroom instruction. Through mentorship from faculty and guidance aligned with industry practices, learners are developing practical skills in Swift programming, user interface and experience design, product development, testing, and deployment strategies.

The applications developed by students address diverse needs across education, accessibility, wellness, productivity, lifestyle, and utility categories. A significant portion of these apps incorporate social impact dimensions, tackling real-world challenges and enhancing user experiences for communities both within and beyond the campus.

"Technology education must translate into tangible solutions for genuine problems," said Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, Chief Executive Officer of Galgotias University. "We are pleased that our students are creating products with utility beyond our institution. This milestone demonstrates the creativity, discipline, and drive of our student body, working alongside dedicated mentors within an environment that champions both innovation and execution."

The program emphasizes user-centered design thinking and collaborative project work, equipping students with capabilities that align with contemporary industry standards. Faculty members provide ongoing support throughout the development lifecycle, assisting students in refining concepts, strengthening implementation, comprehending user requirements, and managing the transition from initial prototype to market release.

The institution's focus on fostering innovation has yielded additional recognition. In the Apple Swift Student Challenge 2026, eighteen students from Galgotias University earned awards—representing the highest number from any private university across India. Their submissions showcased applications spanning accessibility solutions, healthcare tools, educational platforms, augmented reality experiences, and artificial intelligence applications, demonstrating the breadth of student capability in creating globally competitive and socially valuable technology.

Beyond the 34 live applications, multiple student-developed projects are currently undergoing development, quality assurance, and final preparation phases for launch. The university continues to prioritize emerging technology domains including app development, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, robotics, data science, and digital product innovation as core components of its strategic vision.

This expanding portfolio of market-ready and socially conscious applications reflects the strengthening innovation culture at the institution, with additional products expected to reach the app store in coming months.
