Hyderabad: The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has expressed appreciation for Telangana's comprehensive approach to transforming its transport sector and strengthening road safety protocols.

In correspondence directed to Telangana's Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Gadkari acknowledged the state government's multifaceted efforts across digital governance and public welfare dimensions.

Among the measures highlighted by the Union minister were the dismantling of transport check posts and the seamless merger of VAHAN and SARATHI platforms within the state. Additionally, Gadkari recognized the deployment of Automated Driving Testing Tracks and the systematic implementation of Road Safety Audits statewide.

The Union minister underscored that Telangana's transport sector developments are consistent with the Centre's broader objectives of establishing efficient transport administration coupled with digital innovation. He noted that these reforms would contribute to elevating road safety benchmarks and bolstering the effectiveness of transport management infrastructure.

Gadkari further lauded the state's commitment to advancing sustainable mobility options. He also acknowledged the educational campaigns carried out by Telangana during National Road Safety Month, which aimed to enhance public awareness regarding traffic regulations and safety practices.
