La Pino'z Pizza Outlet in Hyderabad Fails Food Safety Inspection with Multiple Violations

A food safety inspection conducted by Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) at the La Pino'z Pizza establishment located in Jubilee Enclave has uncovered serious violations in hygiene and food handling practices. The inspection took place on June 17 as part of the civic authority's routine compliance monitoring across the Cyberabad jurisdiction.

The inspection team documented a severe cockroach infestation within the facility's premises. Additionally, inspectors discovered expired spice blends, flavoured syrups, and bread items stored on the premises. The team also noted that numerous food products were not properly labeled, and various sections of the restaurant exhibited inadequate storage protocols.

Inspectors observed microbial contamination present in a freezer unit that was undergoing maintenance. The team found chicken products that lacked appropriate protective wrapping and identified lizard droppings in close proximity to food storage sections.

Among other concerns, officials found that vegetarian and non-vegetarian items were being stored together in the same freezer unit. The establishment could not furnish employee health certificates or water quality testing documentation when requested by inspectors.

The inspection team removed all expired and improperly stored food items immediately. Management received directives to execute comprehensive cleaning operations and arrange pest control treatment without further delay.

CMC issued an Improvement Notice to the outlet and mandated that all identified deficiencies be corrected promptly. The establishment received a hygiene rating of 67 out of 100 based on the inspection findings.

According to CMC's assessment framework, restaurants scoring above 90 per cent are deemed satisfactory. Those falling between 50 and 90 per cent receive an Improvement Notice, while establishments below 50 per cent are issued a Show Cause Notice.

The civic corporation stated it will maintain its enforcement activities and ongoing inspections to ensure adherence to food safety standards and safeguard public health across the region.
