NBEMS Enforces Strict Gate Closure Policy for FMGE 2026

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a stern directive regarding the upcoming FMGE exam 2026, making clear that test-takers arriving even moments after the prescribed entry deadlines will be denied admission to examination centres.

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination, designed for individuals who pursued medical studies outside India, is scheduled for Sunday, June 28, with two separate sittings. The morning shift runs from 9 am to 11 am, followed by an afternoon session from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

Test centres will enforce strict gate closures at 8:30 am ahead of the first session and at 1:30 pm before the second sitting. NBEMS officials have emphasized that no candidate shall be permitted entry once these times have passed, regardless of circumstances.

Permitted Documentation and Prohibited Items

Candidates are instructed to bring only their admit card and an original photo identification document to the examination venue. The board has implemented a comprehensive ban on electronic devices within test centres, including mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth-enabled gadgets, and similar equipment.

Additionally, candidates have been advised against wearing masks unless medically necessary. NBEMS has cautioned that breaches of examination protocols or any suspected cheating will result in severe consequences.
