Flipkart Launches GRWM GRWM Fashion Sale, Merging Trending Content with Shopping for India's Digital Generation

May 28, 2026

Flipkart, India's homegrown e-commerce platform, has rolled out 'GRWM GRWM', a fashion-centric sale event designed to transform shopping into a cultural experience for the nation's digitally-savvy consumers. Drawing inspiration from the globally recognised GenZ phenomenon "GRWM" (Get Ready With Me) and reinterpreted with an Indian flavour as "Garam Garam," the initiative reimagines Flipkart Fashion's seasonal clearance with a contemporary, trend-conscious approach.

Rather than adhering to the traditional discount-heavy model, the campaign prioritises what is current, sought-after, and culturally resonant. This strategic shift reflects Flipkart's broader mission to onboard the next 200 million Indians to fashion shopping through its network of marketplace vendors and homegrown direct-to-consumer brands.

The sale brings together a diverse range of participants including established fashion houses, emerging D2C labels, independent sellers, and a burgeoning creator community. The offering encompasses more than 10 lakh products spanning over 50 international and domestic brands, complemented by incentive programmes such as Scratch Cards and Supercoin rewards. The assortment caters to varied tastes and price points, from baggy jeans and Korean-style trousers to floral dresses and palazzo ensembles, reaching consumers nationwide.

The campaign is amplified through a vibrant television commercial featuring an upbeat 'GRWM GRWM' jingle. The film creatively reimagines everyday professionals—firefighters sporting edgy streetwear and lawyers dressed in relaxed Italian summer styles—to illustrate fashion as a vehicle for personal expression. This juxtaposition of aspirational trends with unexpected contexts creates an engaging narrative around style and individuality.

Discounts reaching as high as 90% are available across marquee brands including Levi's, Titan, Red Tape, Nike, Puma, Asics, Safari, Rare Rabbit, and The Bear House. Additional savings are accessible through banking partnerships and SuperCoin redemptions.

Kapil Thirani, Vice President of Flipkart Fashion, emphasised the shift in how younger consumers engage with fashion. "Fashion discovery today is shaped significantly by creators, online communities, and digital culture, particularly among Gen Z. GRWM GRWM reimagines the conventional seasonal sale to align with how young India discovers and interacts with fashion, prioritising freshness, trend relevance, and cultural authenticity. Through personalised suggestions and curated brand selections, we are working to make fashion more accessible and inclusive across the country," he said.

The initiative features expanded participation from the creator economy, with over 1,000 content creators producing fashion-driven material across Meta and YouTube throughout the two-week campaign period, while earning commission-based compensation. Flipkart has also released two additional television spots that playfully capture the appeal of endless browsing, fuelled by the thrill of finding substantial discounts on premium labels during the sale.
