Hyderabad Drug Bust: Excise STF Arrests Two, Seizes Synthetic Drugs and Cannabis

Hyderabad law enforcement has dismantled a drug trafficking operation, resulting in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of multiple narcotics.
Acting on credible intelligence, the Excise STF-B team intercepted a Toyota Innova vehicle travelling along the Suraram–Kompally High Tension Road. The search operation, led by Sub-Inspector Balaraju and Sub-Inspector Sandhya alongside their team members, yielded a significant cache of illicit substances.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Praveen and Elizer, commonly known as Sunny. During the search, authorities recovered 3.24 grams of MDMA from Praveen's possession. From Sunny, officers confiscated 36.90 grams of OG Kush and 7.73 grams of charas. The total value of the seized drugs is estimated at Rs. 2.58 lakh.
According to investigators, the two suspects were part of a distribution network with connections to Bengaluru. The operation involved sourcing controlled substances from the neighbouring state and subsequently marketing them within Hyderabad at inflated prices. Excise officials have indicated that the accused strategically targeted affluent youth and children from privileged backgrounds residing in the city.
The vehicle used in the drug transportation operation has also been seized by authorities. Both the suspects and the confiscated materials have been transferred to the Qutbullapur Excise Station, where the investigation is continuing.
