Errolla Srinivas Accuses Congress Government in Telangana of Systemic Corruption

Hyderabad: Opposition figure Errolla Srinivas has launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led administration in Telangana, alleging pervasive corruption and asserting that the government has fallen short of its obligations to citizens.

During remarks to journalists at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, Srinivas leveled criticism at Congress leadership, characterizing their approach as shallow political maneuvering. He also directed barbs at party member Addanki Dayakar, questioning his standing within the organization.

Emphasizing that political authority is fleeting, Srinivas contended that corrupt practices have infiltrated governmental institutions across multiple levels. He maintained that the administration has neglected pressing concerns that directly impact ordinary citizens.

A particular focus of his criticism centered on the allocation of Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road projects. Srinivas alleged that tender procedures incorporated a surplus margin of 25 per cent and pressed the government for transparent responses regarding these assertions.

The opposition leader further highlighted what he described as inaction regarding suspected illegal mining operations. He indicated that his organization had supplied substantiating materials to authorities, yet claimed the government continues to disregard the matter despite its consequences for public resources.

Srinivas extended his allegations beyond specific contracts, asserting that corrupt conduct permeates numerous government departments. He maintained that varied administrative sectors bear the imprint of this corruption and faulted officials for neglecting to uphold proper oversight mechanisms.

In his broader political commentary, Srinivas invoked national figures Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi while articulating his position on the corruption issue. He asserted that the government has refrained from pursuing action against particular business entities, while observing that citizens are monitoring these developments closely.

The opposition leader stressed that misappropriation of taxpayer money is occurring and blamed the ruling party for directing unsubstantiated allegations at political rivals instead of concentrating on governance and administrative effectiveness.

Srinivas concluded by underscoring that erosion of public confidence stemming from governmental corruption necessitates institutional accountability across all administrative sectors.
