Emerging Visions: Fresh Talent Takes Centre Stage at Bikaner House

A significant showcase of student artwork is now underway at Bikaner House in New Delhi, where the National Institute of Fine Arts presents Emerging Visions, a carefully curated exhibition running through 16 June 2026. Sanyam Khera has organised the display at the Main Gallery, bringing together a substantial cohort of young artists pursuing Diploma and Degree qualifications at the Institute.

The exhibition draws together work across multiple artistic disciplines—paintings, drawings, mixed media compositions, sculptures, and experimental forms—all created by artists navigating their formative years in art practice. The roster of participants includes Pooja Matta, Sapna Raina, K.P. Paveine, Divya Thapar, Manju Kathuria, Priya Sharma, Yashika Jain, Gitansh Malhotra, Suveer Aivalli, Mousmi Bhattacharya, Meenakshi Radcliffe, Gauri Kompalli, Saima Jamal, Aaira Madan, Geeta Arora, Priya Mendiratta, Sophia Paul, Prisha Buddhiraja, Aadhya Choubey, Shruti Shah, Abhilasha, Gagan Kaur, Sanskar Yadav, and Nidhi Barnwal.

Their works engage with a wide spectrum of contemporary concerns—identity and memory, interpersonal dynamics, urban environments, natural forms, abstract exploration, and cultural commentary. This thematic diversity reflects the breadth of inquiry characterising today's young artistic practitioners.

For curator Sanyam Khera, the exhibition embodies more than a simple display of finished works. "Emerging Visions is a celebration of artistic discovery and creative potential," Khera notes. "The exhibition provides a platform for emerging artists to share their perspectives, challenge conventions, and engage audiences through thoughtful visual expression. Each work reflects a journey of learning, experimentation, and self-discovery, reminding us of the vital role young artists play in shaping the future of contemporary art."

Beyond offering audiences an encounter with innovative visual approaches, the exhibition functions as a crucial institutional statement. It demonstrates the National Institute of Fine Arts' dedication to cultivating artistic development through structured training, mentorship, and public-facing platforms.
