EMA Partners India Acquires Taggd in INR 113 Crore All-Cash Deal
Bengaluru — A significant consolidation in India's recruitment sector has taken shape with EMA Partners India Limited's acquisition of Taggd, marking a strategic merger of two leading talent solutions providers.
The transaction, valued at INR 113 crores on a company equity basis, brings together EMA Partners India, a prominent player in executive search and leadership recruitment, with Taggd, the country's premier Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) services firm. The combined entity now positions itself as one of India's largest integrated talent recruitment platforms, spanning executive search, professional search, and artificial intelligence-driven RPO capabilities.
For EMA Partners India, the acquisition strengthens its footprint across the talent acquisition spectrum by incorporating Taggd's enterprise-level RPO operations and AI-driven delivery models. Taggd gains access to EMA's international market reach, supporting its ambition to facilitate one million job placements by 2030 through agentic AI-powered talent solutions.
Taggd will maintain its operational autonomy within EMA Partners' portfolio of brands. The company's existing brand name, management structure, client base, and service commitments remain unchanged.
Devashish Sharma, Taggd's Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, along with Co-founder Pankaj Bansal, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. "This partnership enables us to expand our market presence globally while staying true to our mission of leveraging agentic AI technology to fulfil employment opportunities at scale," they stated. "Our clients can expect the same level of service excellence they have come to rely on as we pursue our 2030 objectives."
K Sudarshan, Chairman and Managing Director of EMA Partners India Limited, highlighted the strategic value of the combination. "Taggd's experienced team and proven capabilities will enhance our service offerings and accelerate platform growth. Together, we will continue deploying advanced recruitment technology and AI innovations to drive operational efficiency," he said.
Manish Gaur, Managing Director and Head of Enterprise Tech at Multiples Private Equity, acknowledged Taggd's trajectory. "The team has consistently delivered measurable hiring results for India's leading enterprises. Their track record of scaling operations positions them well for continued expansion," he noted.
The deal underscores growing appetite among enterprises for comprehensive talent partners that integrate scale, technology, intelligence, and accountability throughout the recruitment process. As India establishes itself as a global hub for talent, technology, and business expansion, the merged entity aims to create a competitive, India-rooted talent solutions provider capable of serving multinational enterprises.
