Malkajgiri Corporation Needs Enhanced Funding for Infrastructure Development, Says Eatala

Hyderabad: The financial demands facing Malkajgiri Corporation have mounted significantly due to escalating infrastructure and civic problems in the area, according to BJP MP Eatala Rajender.
Speaking at a development review meeting held Thursday at a private hotel in Nagole, Eatala pointed to the expansion of the civic body through the integration of multiple municipalities and villages as a key factor driving the need for greater resources.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who previously held the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat, is well-positioned to appreciate the region's persistent civic challenges, the MP noted. Discussions with the Chief Minister addressed numerous concerns impacting constituents, Eatala said.
Among the critical issues requiring immediate attention are the Jawahar Nagar dumping yard, secondary waste disposal sites at Macha Bolarum, contamination of water bodies from sewage discharge, and the proliferation of water hyacinth. The corporation also grapples with inadequate CCTV surveillance infrastructure, rising theft, insufficient street illumination, water supply deficits, and strained drainage systems.
Eatala stressed that development initiatives must proceed unimpeded despite budgetary constraints, urging authorities to allocate sufficient funds to tackle infrastructure deficiencies and sanitation challenges throughout the corporation's jurisdiction.
Addressing the waste management crisis at Jawahar Nagar, the BJP MP emphasized that resolving this issue demands collaborative effort across political lines and among all stakeholders. He underscored that development transcends partisan boundaries and represents a shared responsibility for all leaders.
Eatala assured the public that the administration would pursue long-term remedies for the dumping yard situation and related environmental concerns affecting the constituency.
Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy participated in the meeting alongside MLAs Sabitha Indra Reddy, Laxma Reddy, Sudheer Reddy, Rajasekhar Reddy, and Malla Reddy. Municipal heads, elected representatives, and administrative officials were also present.
