Hyderabad: Maraboyina Madhusudhan, Chief Public Relations Officer to the Deputy Chief Minister, passed away on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest at a private hospital.

The 57-year-old experienced chest pain during the day and was taken to a nearby private facility for initial care. As his health deteriorated, medical staff transferred him to Apollo Spectra Hospital for advanced treatment. During his time at the facility, he suffered a second cardiac episode from which he could not recover, despite intensive medical intervention.

Madhusudhan had carved out a distinguished career in journalism before joining the Deputy Chief Minister's office. He spent considerable years as a senior reporter and editor with major Telugu-language publications including Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi, and Prajashakti. Those who worked alongside him recalled his integrity and commitment to journalistic standards.

He leaves behind his wife and son.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka released a statement expressing his profound sorrow at Madhusudhan's passing. "The loss of such an honest and dedicated journalist is deeply painful," Vikramarka said, underscoring Madhusudhan's professional contributions and ethical approach to his work. The Deputy Chief Minister extended his condolences to the family and stressed the importance of providing support during this period of grief.
