Danam Nagender Attacks Kavitha Over KCR Criticism, Defends Congress Government

Hyderabad: Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender launched a sharp attack on BRS leader K. Kavitha on Saturday, objecting to her public comments regarding KCR's political trajectory and personal matters.
In media remarks, Nagender contended that Kavitha was conflating legitimate political opposition with personal family criticism for electoral advantage. He cautioned that airing family disputes in the public arena for political purposes undermines the quality of political discourse.
The legislator drew a distinction between standard political rivalry and what he characterized as repeated public attacks on one's own parent. He expressed concern that such statements could have adverse psychological effects on KCR at a time when his continued presence and vitality in public affairs remain important.
"KCR is a mass leader who comprehends the appropriate moments to engage with people," Nagender stated, suggesting the former chief minister required no external guidance on timing his public activities.
Extending his criticism to the broader BRS camp, Nagender suggested that party leadership displayed visible nervousness and disorientation in recent weeks, with their public pronouncements reflecting this internal anxiety.
He also took aim at former BRS government officials, pointing to their involvement in phone-tapping operations and questioning the legitimacy of accusations they now level against others. Nagender characterized such criticism as lacking credibility.
Turning to the present administration, Nagender stressed that the Congress government harbored no intentions of pursuing vendetta against individuals. Despite fiscal constraints facing the state exchequer, he affirmed the government's commitment to implementing its electoral pledges.
The MLA emphasized that welfare schemes would not face cutbacks and reiterated the administration's resolve to honor its campaign commitments to voters.
