Healthcare and Education Expansion Central to Development Vision, Says Health Minister Narasimha

Hyderabad: During a Praja Palana interactive session held Saturday at Sri Rama Function Hall in Andole-Jogipet, State Medical and Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha outlined an ambitious development agenda focused on healthcare accessibility and educational advancement.

The gathering drew district-level public representatives, government officials, and residents keen to hear about planned initiatives for their region.

Narasimha emphasized the state government's commitment to ensuring every citizen receives quality education alongside comprehensive healthcare services. He highlighted that government hospitals currently deliver medical care without charge, shielding citizens from the financial burden that illness often imposes.

The administration is pursuing an aggressive modernization programme to make approximately 90 per cent of medical services available at the district level. Additionally, the minister noted that trauma centres and emergency response systems are being bolstered to reduce response times during critical situations.

Women's Economic Participation and Education Sector Focus

Women's empowerment and economic self-sufficiency featured prominently in Narasimha's remarks. He referenced earlier interventions including the Pavalala Vaddi scheme and zero-interest loan programmes that provided financial assistance to women. Current efforts now include establishing Indiramma canteens, deploying solar energy units, and setting up petrol distribution outlets—all designed to foster women's economic independence.

The minister announced plans to strengthen nutritional and educational infrastructure across schools and colleges throughout Telangana. A significant development for the Andole area involves establishing a pharmacy college, part of broader efforts to position the constituency as an education destination.

Infrastructure and Tourism Development

Narasimha revealed that the Singur region would become the focus of a dedicated tourism development strategy, expected to generate local employment opportunities. Construction work on the Singur Line has commenced with a budgetary allocation of Rs. 200 crore.

District Collector Prateek Jain, District SP Paritosh Pankaj, and representatives from multiple administrative departments attended the programme.
