Hyderabad's Cyberabad Police stepped up enforcement against crimes targeting women and children during the week of May 2-7, according to data released by the Women and Child Safety Wing.

The SHE Teams carried out 99 decoy operations during the period, resulting in the arrest of 32 individuals accused of indecent behaviour in public spaces. An additional 42 petty offences were registered across various areas within the commissionerate. The wing also processed 17 formal complaints filed by women victims during the same timeframe.

The Anti Human Trafficking Unit made progress on multiple fronts, securing the release of trafficking victims while detaining accused persons in matters falling under the PITA and Juvenile Justice Acts. Within the same week, the police resolved 33 family disputes through counselling services operated under the Cyberabad Police framework.

Education and awareness initiatives formed a significant component of the operations. Over 1,685 individuals participated in programmes addressing women's safety, cyber fraud, stalking, human trafficking, and emergency contact information. In one such session, the SCSC Women's Safety Forum partnered with Bank of America to conduct a training event attended by more than 300 employees. The programme emphasised preparation, situational awareness, and crisis response protocols for female workers.

Officials indicated that preventive policing strategies and public awareness campaigns would remain ongoing priorities across the commissionerate.
