Cyberabad Police Enforce Restrictions Around Exam Centres Through May 21

Hyderabad's Cyberabad Police have put in place Section 163 prohibitory measures in the vicinity of examination centres conducting Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations through May 21, 2026.
Police Commissioner M Ramesh issued the orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to safeguard public order and facilitate uninterrupted examination administration.
The prohibitory measures bar assemblies of five persons or more within 200 metres of any examination centre during the examination window. These restrictions will operate between 6:30 am and 6 pm each day.
In addition, authorities have mandated the shuttering of photocopy shops and internet cafés situated within 100 metres of examination venues during examination hours. The step aims to curtail cheating attempts and minimise disturbances.
The order carves out exemptions for on-duty police personnel, military staff, Home Guards, Education Department flying squads, and funeral processions.
Police officials emphasised that these steps are designed to preserve calm around examination centres and prevent interference with the supplementary examination process.
Cyberabad Police have warned that those who breach the Section 163 restrictions will face stringent enforcement action. Violators discovered assembling near examination centres or defying prohibitory orders may be prosecuted under applicable laws.
The restrictions apply uniformly across all designated examination centres within Cyberabad Commissionerate jurisdiction and remain effective until May 21, 2026.
