Cyberabad Police Impose Drone Ban Ahead of PM Modi's Hyderabad Visit

Hyderabad authorities have instituted a comprehensive ban on drones and other aerial devices in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the city on May 10.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad on Sunday to formally open the newly built Sindhu Hospital located in the Hitec City area. In response to the high-profile visit, Cyberabad Police has significantly enhanced security protocols throughout jurisdictions under the Cyberabad Commissionerate.
The police department has implemented multiple precautionary measures aimed at averting any potential disturbances during the Prime Minister's presence in the city.
Restrictions on Flying Devices
The Cyberabad Police Commissioner has issued a directive prohibiting drones, para-gliders, and remote-controlled micro-light aircraft within the Madapur police station jurisdiction. These restrictions will remain effective throughout May 10 as part of the security framework.
Officials have cautioned that any breach of these restrictions will invite stringent legal consequences. To ensure widespread awareness, the police department has circulated notices detailing the restrictions at various police stations, Assistant Commissioner of Police offices, and Deputy Commissioner of Police offices across the region.
The ban represents standard protocol for such high-level governmental visits and underscores the administration's commitment to maintaining public safety during the event.
