Telangana DGP Initiates Comprehensive Overhaul of Headquarters Office

Hyderabad: Telangana's Director General of Police C.V. Anand has initiated a sweeping renovation of the police headquarters office in the city, following an intensive three-hour inspection of multiple floors and functional units.
During his walkthrough on Monday, the DGP issued directives to enhance cleanliness standards, optimize workspace arrangements, and boost operational efficiency throughout the office. The revamp encompasses several immediate measures, including the repainting of walls, filing cabinets, and work desks. Staff have also been instructed to relocate stored files to designated record storage facilities to free up workspace.
The inspection also examined plans for reconfiguring the main conference hall, training facilities, and other sections to maximize the utility of existing office infrastructure. Senior police leadership provided updates on departmental progress and performance metrics during the review.
The comprehensive inspection drew participation from several high-ranking officials. Among those present were DG Mahesh M. Bhagwat (Law and Order), DG Swati Lakra (Organisation and Home Guards), DG V.V. Srinivasa Rao (Technical Services), and DG Charu Sinha (CID). IGs Chandrasekhar Reddy and Gajarao Bhupal also briefed the DGP on the operations and performance of their respective commands during the session.
The extended inspection period allowed the DGP to evaluate multiple operational sections and formulate strategies aimed at strengthening office administration and service delivery.
