Police Register Case Against BRS Leader Balka Suman Over Inflammatory Statements

A criminal case has been filed against Balka Suman, the BRS leader and former legislator, after Hyderabad police acted on complaints regarding his controversial remarks. The case was registered at Nampally Police Station following petitions filed by Congress activists.
Government Whip Balmuri Venkat has called for swift action, asserting that Balka Suman's statements posed a threat to public peace and could potentially incite violence. According to Congress representatives, the remarks included calls for attacks on Singareni installations and advocacy for militant-style demonstrations.
State Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has strongly objected to the statements, labeling them as unlawful. He raised concerns about the potential consequences of damaging railway infrastructure and Singareni facilities, warning that such actions could jeopardize public safety and create serious law-and-order complications. The minister has additionally sought the suspension of Balka Suman from the BRS party.
Balmuri Venkat characterized speeches promoting violence as criminal in nature and suggested that Balka Suman was deliberately attempting to stoke unrest for political advantage.
State Minister Adluri Laxman has dismissed Balka Suman as inconsequential, contending that the BRS is manufacturing artificial agitations despite lacking genuine public backing. He has also held the previous BRS administration accountable, alleging that it left Telangana burdened with substantial debt and demanding that party leadership answer for their recent statements.
