Rangareddy Collector Sets Framework for Statewide Constituency Meetings

Hyderabad — District Collector C. Narayana Reddy has issued comprehensive directives to administrative officials ahead of constituency meetings planned for May 2 as part of the state government's 99-day Praja Palana Progress Programme.
During a teleconference on Friday with revenue divisional officers, mandal development officers, municipal commissioners and other officials, the Collector reviewed logistical arrangements and communicated key guidelines for the successful execution of these gatherings.
The meetings will take place across constituencies at venues including schools, mandal offices and open grounds, with proceedings commencing at 10 am. Officials have been instructed to involve public representatives in the meetings, ensuring that ministers, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Council and Members of Legislative Assembly receive prior notification.
The Collector outlined the structure for each meeting, directing that proceedings begin with the state song followed by the reading of the Chief Minister's message. Departments have been asked to present information on welfare schemes implemented by the government and to facilitate discussions on development and welfare initiatives currently underway.
Participation is expected to encompass revenue officials, mandal officers, ward members, departmental staff, self-help groups, youth organisations, farmer groups, women's associations and voluntary organisations.
Attention has been given to ensuring adequate facilities at all venues. The Collector directed officials to arrange special seating for women and elderly attendees and to provide screens and projectors for presentations. Given the summer season, officials must ensure the availability of drinking water and shaded areas at meeting locations.
Banners promoting the Praja Palana Progress Programme are to be displayed prominently at all meeting sites. The Collector emphasised that coordinated effort across all departments will be essential to achieving successful outcomes across the district.
The teleconference was attended by Additional Collector (Revenue) Chandra Reddy, Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Kiranmayi, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Krishna Reddy, Chief Planning Officer Soumya and other district officials.
