Congress Conducts Intensive Training on Electoral Roll Revision at Gandhi Bhavan

Hyderabad: The Indian National Congress has stepped up efforts to prepare its organizational machinery for the voter list revision exercise being conducted by the Election Commission of India, rolling out a structured training programme at Gandhi Bhavan.
The initiative brought together senior party functionaries including TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, and AICC secretary Sachin Sawant. Facilitators from the AICC's training division—Saurabh, Nishant, and Anusha—are leading the sessions for master trainers from the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, who will subsequently cascade this knowledge to Booth Level Agents operating across their constituencies.
Speaking to the assembled participants, Mahesh Kumar Goud highlighted the Congress's commitment to systematic implementation of the Sangathan Srujan Abhiyan, describing it as foundational to strengthening the party's organizational apparatus throughout the state. He reported that the appointment of Booth Level Agents had already been finalized in over 90 Assembly constituencies, with district and mandal-level committees nearing completion of their restructuring efforts.
Drawing parallels to developments in West Bengal, Goud raised concerns about what he characterized as BJP-orchestrated deletion of 93 lakh votes from electoral rolls, which he linked to subsequent changes in that state's political landscape. He cautioned Congress leaders to maintain heightened vigilance during Telangana's ongoing voter list revision process, framing the exercise as essential for safeguarding electoral integrity.
Goud underscored the critical importance of protecting every vote and called on participants to translate the training into effective ground-level action. He also reiterated accusations that the BJP employs manipulative strategies in electoral processes across India.
