Congress Governance Lacks Direction, BRS Positioned to Revive Telangana's Growth: KTR

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao has charged the Congress government with failing to deliver adequate administration during its two-and-a-half year period in office. He contended that only the BRS possesses the capacity to reverse Telangana's developmental decline.

Speaking at a gathering of BRS constituency coordinators in Malkajgiri on Friday, Rama Rao stated that Telangana's electorate has become increasingly frustrated with Congress's tenure. He expressed confidence that voters would rally behind the BRS in the forthcoming Assembly elections. The party's central platform, he emphasised, remains focused on revitalising Telangana's development agenda.

Previous Achievements Under BRS Leadership

Rama Rao highlighted the substantial progress achieved during the tenure of former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, pointing to multiple welfare initiatives and development programmes implemented over nine-and-a-half years under BRS governance. He specifically cited the distribution of property rights to approximately 2.5 lakh economically disadvantaged households in Hyderabad through Government Orders 58 and 59.

For Telangana to resume its development momentum, Rama Rao argued, the BRS must return to power. He called upon party functionaries to strengthen organisational structures at the community level.

Critique of Current Administration

The BRS leader levelled sharp criticism at the Congress administration's approach to governance, asserting that despite significant borrowing, the government has failed to produce tangible development outcomes. He contended that substantial debt accumulation has not translated into corresponding infrastructure creation.

Rama Rao also voiced concerns regarding HYDRAA demolition operations, characterising them as detrimental to economically vulnerable populations and causing considerable distress to lower-income families.

The BRS leader expressed his assessment that public discontent with Congress rule continues to intensify throughout Telangana. He voiced optimism regarding the party's electoral prospects across Hyderabad and surrounding districts.

Rama Rao reaffirmed the BRS's commitment to its development restoration vision, emphasising the revival of stalled projects, enhancement of social welfare programmes, and fostering accelerated economic expansion.
