Hyderabad — A high-level Congress delegation convened with State Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy to call for greater openness in the SIR process being conducted throughout Telangana.

The meeting was spearheaded by Congress leader Mahesh Kumar Goud and included several prominent party figures. Among those in attendance were Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, and Government Whip MLC Balmuri Venkat. The group also comprised MLAs Kavvampally Satyanarayana, Naveen Yadav, and Sri Ganesh, alongside corporation chairpersons and other senior Congress representatives.

The delegation submitted a formal memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer during the meeting, making a direct appeal to the Election Commission to ensure the process unfolds with full fairness and clarity across all districts and constituencies. Party representatives emphasized their expectation that election authorities maintain complete transparency at every stage of the exercise.

The Congress party's push for accountability reflects broader concerns about the conduct of electoral procedures in the state, with the delegation seeking assurances that the process will be conducted according to established democratic principles.
