Congress Leaders' Heated Dispute Disrupts Gandhi Bhavan Meeting in Hyderabad

A party meeting at Congress headquarters in Hyderabad descended into chaos on Wednesday as tensions between two senior leaders boiled over into a physical altercation.
The confrontation involved Feroz Khan, who represents Nampally Assembly constituency, and Usman Al-Haj, the party's in-charge for Karwan constituency. The dispute centred on seating positions adjacent to Minister Mohammed Azharuddin during the gathering at Gandhi Bhavan.
What began as a disagreement quickly intensified, with both leaders reportedly seizing each other by the collar in full view of assembled party members. The situation grew more volatile when some individuals attempted to push aside V. Hanumantha Rao, a senior Congress leader who tried to defuse the escalating tension.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar made multiple attempts to persuade the feuding leaders to cease their argument, but his appeals initially went unheeded. State ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Mohammed Azharuddin were both present at the venue during the incident.
Eventually, intervention by other party members succeeded in restoring order, though not before the disruption forced organisers to suspend the meeting midway through proceedings.
