Congress App Enables Booth Workers to Track Voter Verification Progress in Hyderabad

The Congress party's digital initiative is streamlining voter verification efforts across Hyderabad. At a training session for Booth Level Agents (BLAs) on Friday, Hyderabad District Congress Committee president Syed Khalid Saifullah outlined how the Congress BLA App is assisting ground-level workers in managing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.

The application provides booth-level agents with access to comprehensive voter data organized by polling station. A key feature enables the identification of potentially duplicate voter registrations by cross-referencing names, family information, residential addresses, and other personal identifiers. When the system flags such cases, Election Commission officials conduct verification to determine their validity.

Saifullah highlighted that party volunteers have already undertaken extensive digitization and analysis of electoral records throughout Hyderabad district. This groundwork allows BLAs to monitor corrections to voter lists and track new voter enrollments with greater precision and efficiency.

The app tracks the status of voter forms submitted during the revision exercise, giving the Congress party visibility into how the SIR process is advancing. This capability helps party leadership pinpoint localities requiring intensified outreach and voter assistance efforts.

During the training, Saifullah emphasized the importance of removing fraudulent duplicate entries while safeguarding the registrations of legitimate voters. He called on Congress workers to dedicate the coming month to systematic verification of electoral rolls and urged them to leverage the technology platform responsibly as they guide citizens through the revision process.
