Coca-Cola India Launches AI-Powered Interactive Experience with Google Gemini

Coca-Cola India is transforming ordinary moments of refreshment into engaging digital experiences through a new collaboration with Google. The company has unveiled "Coca-Cola Halftime Surprise," an AI-driven platform built on Google Gemini that reimagines what a pause with a cold drink can offer consumers.

The initiative invites users to scan QR codes on specially marked Coca-Cola packages, which unlocks access to three distinct interactive adventures. Each experience leverages Gemini's Canvas feature to create personalized, gamified journeys tailored to individual preferences and inputs.

The three available experiences allow participants to explore different creative scenarios. In the first, users can transform a selfie into a custom album cover complete with original music tracks through a nostalgic jukebox interface, with opportunities to win concert tickets. The second option presents a movie vending machine interface where participants become the central character in a six-panel comic strip, offering chances to win movie vouchers. The third adventure enables users to construct an aesthetic vision-board style collage by piloting a digital time machine, with potential rewards including flight and hotel vouchers.

Each interaction generates unique outcomes powered by artificial intelligence, ensuring that no two experiences are identical. The platform combines visual storytelling with music and digital culture elements designed to appeal to younger demographics.

Greishma Singh, Vice President of Marketing at Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, explained the strategic thinking behind the launch. "Today's Gen Z consumers express themselves through visual and digital mediums shaped by music culture," Singh stated. "Coca-Cola Halftime Surprise transforms the traditional beverage break into something more participatory and personally meaningful. The partnership with Google ensures that every creative moment—whether designing an album cover, traveling through time, or crafting a comic narrative—feels entirely individual and authentic."

Shekar Khosla, Vice President of Marketing at Google India, highlighted the technological dimension of the collaboration. "Memorable brand engagement thrives when it combines interactivity, personalization, and entertainment," Khosla noted. "Coca-Cola Halftime Surprise demonstrates how Gemini can serve as a creative tool, enabling people to generate distinctive visual stories and transform everyday moments into expressions of personal identity."

The launch builds momentum from Coca-Cola India's earlier generative AI initiative, Festicons, which launched during Diwali and enabled consumers to create customized festive content at scale. Coca-Cola Halftime Surprise extends this creative approach into a continuous offering, positioning everyday consumer interactions as opportunities for surprise and self-expression.
