Cyberabad Commissioner Prioritises Swift Resolution of Town Planning Cases

Hyderabad — The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation's Commissioner has convened a comprehensive review of town planning operations, directing staff to accelerate the clearance of pending applications and strengthen execution at ground level.
The meeting examined progress on multiple fronts, including the processing of building permits, occupancy certificates, Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) applications, and Liberalised Rehabilitation Scheme (LRS) applications. Officials also assessed the status of litigation matters, encompassing writ petitions and contempt proceedings before the courts.
Beyond application processing, the review encompassed encroachment removal operations and the handling of public complaints. The Commissioner also sought updates on land acquisition procedures and road expansion initiatives across the corporation's jurisdiction, while examining challenges related to deteriorating structures and other operational hurdles in urban administration.
The Commissioner issued several directives to improve operational efficiency. He called for accelerated clearance of all outstanding applications and cases, emphasising the importance of coordination between departments. Officials were instructed to ensure prompt resolution of court-related matters and timely approvals to prevent implementation delays.
Additional emphasis was placed on strengthening oversight mechanisms at the operational level and enhancing staff accountability. The Commissioner also mandated that public grievances be addressed promptly with rigorous follow-up to ensure resolution on the ground.
The administration indicated its commitment to optimising planning workflows and ensuring residents receive services without unnecessary delays.
