Cinepolis at Lulu Mall Achieves 94% Hygiene Score in CMC Food Safety Inspection

Hyderabad's Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Food Safety teams recently inspected the Cinepolis outlet at Lulu Mall and documented substantial adherence to established food safety protocols.
The inspection revealed multiple positive findings across operations. Food handlers were observed wearing hairnets and aprons, while staff demonstrated proper tracking of expiry and use-by dates. The establishment maintained comprehensive records covering medical fitness certifications, pest control measures, and water testing results. Additionally, the outlet employed FOSTAC-certified Food Safety Supervisors overseeing operations.
Inspectors commended the facility's segregation practices, noting clear separation between vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items. Utensils underwent hot-water sanitation procedures, and the team found no evidence of pest infestation during their assessment.
However, the inspection identified several areas requiring improvement. Inspectors noted the presence of uncovered dustbins and discovered that staff had not properly sealed opened frozen food items before storage. Officials took immediate action by discarding boiled pasta that had been kept in a freezer. The used cooking oil registered a Total Polar Compounds (TPC) level of 21.5, while housekeeping concerns were flagged at the cola dispensing counter.
The CMC directed management to strengthen food storage protocols and enhance cleanliness standards in dispensing areas. Authorities specifically instructed the establishment to discontinue storing cooked food in freezers for subsequent-day service.
The outlet earned 111 marks out of a possible 116, translating to a 94 percent hygiene compliance score.
