10 Pounder Pizzeteria Earns Strong Hygiene Marks in CMC Food Safety Inspection

Hyderabad: A food safety inspection by the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has awarded 10 Pounder Pizzeteria a hygiene rating of 94 per cent, reflecting strong compliance with food safety protocols at its outlet situated near SMR Vinay Technopolis.
The assessment, conducted on June 17, was part of the CMC's routine food safety monitoring programme across the Cyberabad region. Inspectors found the establishment demonstrating several commendable practices that align with prescribed food safety standards.
Among the positive observations, the inspection team noted that food handlers were appropriately equipped with hairnets and aprons during food preparation and service. The restaurant also demonstrated proper segregation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items, maintained valid medical fitness certificates for all food handlers, and showed no evidence of pest infestation. Additionally, utensils were being sanitised with hot water, and raw materials were stored with clear labelling and protective wrapping.
The establishment scored 99 points out of a possible 106, placing it in the "good" category under CMC guidelines, which classify any score above 90 per cent as satisfactory.
Despite these strengths, the inspection identified areas requiring attention. Inspectors observed dust and cobwebs accumulating on certain internal fixtures and recommended enhanced cleaning and upkeep of the lower section of a freezer unit. The CMC has instructed the management to address these maintenance gaps promptly and maintain consistent cleaning schedules going forward.
Officials have directed the restaurant to sustain its existing food safety measures while implementing the suggested improvements. The CMC indicated that it will continue its inspection programme throughout Cyberabad to reinforce food safety compliance and protect public health.
