Motorcycle Rider Dies in Collision with RTC Bus on Choppadandi Road

A tragic road accident in the Choppadandi area has claimed the life of a motorcyclist following a head-on collision with a commercial transport bus.

The incident took place on Thursday near Gumlapur X Road when an RTC hire bus (registration: TS02UD7080) travelling from Mancherial towards Karimnagar struck a motorcycle (registration: TS02EN5884) moving in the opposite direction.

According to Choppadandi SI Naresh Reddy, the motorcycle rider was en route from Karimnagar to Kishan Rao Peta in Velgatoor mandal when the collision occurred. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as Sappa Tirupati, son of Ramulu.

Following the accident, police apprehended the bus and took its driver into custody at the police station. The body was transported to Karimnagar Government Hospital for autopsy procedures. The deceased's family members were subsequently notified of the incident.

SI Naresh Reddy indicated that a formal case would be registered once a complaint is filed by the family members. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident remains ongoing.
