Hyderabad's civic authorities organized a major walkathon along Necklace Road aimed at building awareness for Census 2027 and rallying community participation in the enumeration process.

Actress Amala Akkineni attended as the chief guest for the initiative, which drew officials, volunteers, students, and members of the general public. The event was spearheaded by Smt. Bharati Hollikeri, Director of Census for Telangana, alongside GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan and Zonal Commissioner B. Santosh.

During the programme, officials underscored the significance of reliable census data for informed planning and development initiatives. Participants marched with placards and chanted slogans to mobilize public support for the successful implementation of Census 2027.

The walkathon demonstrated strong engagement from diverse segments of society gathered at the iconic Necklace Road location. Through this outreach effort, authorities demonstrated their commitment to enhancing citizen involvement in the forthcoming census exercise.
