Canon India Unveils 'Canon Wizard' Initiative to Strengthen Wedding Photography Sector

Canon India, a major player in the digital imaging sector, has introduced the Canon Wizard program, marking a significant step in supporting India's thriving wedding photography and videography industry. The initiative consolidates some of the country's most respected wedding studios on a unified platform, providing them with access to Canon's comprehensive imaging resources and tailored assistance to enhance both their creative output and commercial operations.
The launch arrives as India's booming wedding market increasingly demands better cooperation, expert guidance, and skill development opportunities. Through this program, participating studios will serve as mentors to emerging photographers and videographers, fostering knowledge sharing and building a more experienced, interconnected, and prepared wedding storytelling community.
Among the inaugural participants is RVR PRO, a technology-forward wedding imaging studio founded by Vijayendra Maganti and Priya Maganti. The studio has gained recognition for its approach to wedding documentation that prioritizes authentic emotion and cinematic quality. Having captured over 3,000 weddings domestically and internationally, RVR PRO is known for its structured, process-oriented methodology that maintains creative consistency. The studio's portfolio includes high-profile events such as badminton champion P.V. Sindhu's wedding, demonstrating its capacity to work with precision and international-level professionalism.
The program establishes a formal framework for cooperation, enabling the participating studios to engage more directly with the broader creative community through organized programs and collaborative learning opportunities. This approach aims to strengthen professional networks and establish a unified sector that promotes sustainable development and continuous skill enhancement.
Toshiaki Nomura, President and CEO of Canon India, commented on the initiative: "At Canon, we have consistently worked to support creators and make meaningful contributions to the communities we operate in by developing frameworks that promote partnership, learning, and enduring expansion. Through Canon Wizard, we are reinforcing this dedication to the wedding storytelling field, assembling expertise, resources, and cooperation to establish a more integrated and forward-thinking sector. As the wedding segment grows into an increasingly important element of the creative economy, we recognize our opportunity to contribute more substantially to this expansion—not only through our products, but by building alliances, supporting emerging talent, and creating an environment that encourages creative advancement and lasting achievement."
The program currently includes six leading wedding studios: Magic Motion Media based in Cochin, VS Studio in Kolkata, Studio Memory Lane in Ludhiana, Bala G Studio in Rishikesh, Ramit Batra Photography in Gurgaon, and Dipak Studios in Delhi NCR. These studios specialize in producing cinematic, high-end wedding films that document elaborate celebrations for prominent figures, corporate executives, and international customers.
Vishesh Magoo, Assistant Director of Imaging Communication Business at Canon India, elaborated: "India's wedding sector represents a remarkable fusion of imaginative vision, scope, and narrative ambition. The Canon Wizard program aims to develop substantive, enduring connections with leading wedding studios that shape industry standards. By furnishing these professionals with cutting-edge equipment, forums for exchanging knowledge, and platforms for recognition, we intend to strengthen their capabilities while supporting the ongoing development and transformation of wedding storytelling across India."
