Canon India Strengthens Print and Document Solutions Portfolio with New A3 Multifunction Device and Scanners

May 11, 2026

Canon India has unveiled an expanded range of business imaging equipment designed to serve enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, government agencies and commercial print operations. The announcement marks the company's continued investment in strengthening its position in India's competitive imaging solutions market.

The centrepiece of the new product lineup is the imageFORCE C3150, a high-performance A3 colour multifunction device engineered for demanding, high-volume printing environments. The device delivers colour output at speeds reaching 50 pages per minute while maintaining consistent quality and supporting diverse media types.

Speaking about the strategic direction, Toshiaki Nomura, President & CEO of Canon India, stated that the company remains committed to developing business imaging solutions that address the evolving requirements of Indian enterprises and institutions. He emphasised that the imageFORCE C3150 enables organisations to scale their print capabilities while the new scanners accelerate document digitisation efforts. Nomura noted that Canon has maintained the number one position in the laser copier market for 10 consecutive years and aims to build on this leadership through expanded market presence across key verticals.

Advanced Printing Technology

The imageFORCE C3150 incorporates Canon's D² Exposure (Defined & Detailed) Technology, which replaces conventional laser systems with an advanced OLED exposure mechanism. This innovation delivers class-leading resolution of up to 4,800 × 2,400 dpi, producing sharper text, smoother colour gradations and intricate detail work.

The precise alignment of CMYK colour layers ensures minimal colour variation, delivering deep blacks, vibrant tones and stable output across repeated print jobs. The device handles paper stocks up to 300 gsm and supports SRA3 sheet sizes, enabling full-bleed A3 printing with crop marks—a capability particularly valuable for commercial print businesses producing premium brochures, flyers and promotional materials.

Integrated scanning functionality operates at speeds of up to 270 images per minute in single-pass duplex mode, facilitating comprehensive document workflow integration while maintaining colour fidelity during high-volume digitisation.

C. Sukumaran, Vice President of Canon India, highlighted that colour consistency, speed and output quality directly influence customer confidence and business growth in India's competitive print sector. He noted that the imageFORCE C3150 was developed with deep understanding of market requirements, enabling diverse customer segments to deliver reliable, high-quality output while expanding their application capabilities.

Document Digitisation Solutions

Complementing the multifunction device, Canon introduced the imageFORMULA DR-C340 and DR-C350 document scanners to address accelerating digitisation demand across government, enterprise and SME segments.

The DR-C340 achieves scanning speeds of 40 pages per minute and 80 images per minute, while the DR-C350 delivers up to 50 pages per minute and 100 images per minute. Both models incorporate a 100-sheet automatic document feeder and support diverse document types including receipts, identification cards, passports and extended-length documents.

Designed with compact footprints suitable for small offices, branch locations and front-office environments, the scanners feature intuitive controls and advanced image processing. Their flexible document handling capabilities make them applicable across government, financial services, healthcare, hospitality and education sectors where document diversity and accuracy are critical requirements.

Sukumaran noted that these scanners directly address the demand for streamlined document workflows and improved operational efficiency, positioning organisations to build scalable, future-ready information environments aligned with India's digital transformation objectives.

Together, the new product additions underscore Canon India's strategic focus on expanding its business imaging ecosystem and responding to evolving customer needs across multiple market segments. The combination of high-quality output capabilities, media flexibility and efficient digitisation solutions is designed to help organisations enhance productivity, expand their service offerings and accelerate business growth.
