Brut India is returning to the 79th Festival de Cannes as the festival's official media partner, continuing a multi-year partnership that positions the digital media platform at the intersection of Indian creativity and global cinema.

Running from May 12 to 23, 2026, this year's initiative will feature an ensemble of digital creators and entrepreneurs representing India's evolving content landscape. The delegation includes content creators Sufi Motiwala, Ishita Mangal, Rida Tharana, Disha Madan, Nidhi Kumar, Ishani Mitra, and Niranjan Mondol, alongside personalities such as Smriti Khanna and Niharika Jain. The group also encompasses The Mermaid Scale, Chef Pavitra Kaur, and Dipali Mathur, who holds the Mrs India 2025–26 title. International representatives include Sam Webb, while entrepreneurs Sneha Khanal and Bhupendra Khanal, co-founders of Dogsee Chew—a pet care brand operating across 30+ countries—will also participate.

Mehak Kasbekar, Country Manager and Editor in Chief at Brut India, framed the partnership as a vehicle for connecting Indian narratives with international audiences. "As Brut continues its role as the global media partner for the Cannes Film Festival, we see this as a powerful collaboration to bridge Indian storytelling with a truly global stage. Our focus from India is covering cinema and shaping culture by bringing Indian creators, entrepreneurs, and actors to Cannes; amplifying their voices; and building meaningful collaborations for brands within this moment of global attention. Cannes is where creativity, commerce, and culture intersect, and we're proud to lead that narrative for India in a way that feels both authentic and forward-looking," she stated.

The strategy reflects broader shifts in how contemporary brands connect with audiences, particularly younger demographics. Authenticity and culturally grounded narratives have moved from peripheral marketing considerations to central elements of brand identity. For Generation Z consumers, content must resonate as genuine and rooted in lived experience rather than appearing manufactured or detached from reality.

Brut India's approach integrates this philosophy through collaborative content creation that merges storytelling with brand messaging. The platform plans to produce material spanning red-carpet coverage, behind-the-scenes access, and creator-driven formats optimized for digital distribution. These initiatives will be supported by on-ground activations including creator-led takeovers and interactive experiences designed to translate the Cannes experience into shareable digital moments for online audiences.

The Festival de Cannes, held annually on France's Côte d'Azur, remains among the world's most prestigious film festivals, drawing prominent figures from cinema, culture, and media each year.
