BRS Stages Nagarkurnool Rally Demanding Swift Action in Bhagirath Case

Hyderabad — Members of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi organised a demonstration in Nagarkurnool on Monday, expressing frustration over the delayed apprehension of Bhagirath, the son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, in connection with an ongoing case.
The gathering, held near the memorial dedicated to Dr B.R. Ambedkar, saw party activists submit a formal petition to authorities. The protesters contended that police have registered the necessary case against Bhagirath but have inexplicably refrained from making an arrest.
BRS representatives levelled serious accusations, asserting that Union Minister Bandi Sanjay and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy were jointly working to undermine the investigation. The party leadership claimed that both officials were shielding the accused rather than pursuing justice for the affected minor.
The demonstration highlighted broader concerns about equitable treatment within the state's justice system. Party representatives questioned whether authorities applied disparate standards when dealing with cases involving economically disadvantaged citizens compared to those from privileged backgrounds.
Calling for accountability, BRS leaders demanded the resignation of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay. They simultaneously appealed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to prioritise the matter and secure appropriate justice for the victim's family.
Party officials cautioned that the BRS would intensify its advocacy efforts on behalf of affected parties should the authorities persist in their inaction against the accused.
