Telangana's BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao has highlighted the national government's intensified push to encourage young people to become entrepreneurs rather than job seekers. Speaking at a job mela organised by Dr. Shobha Foundation on Wednesday in Hyderabad, he called on youth to look beyond traditional government employment and embrace business ventures as a viable career option.

Rao credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with championing startup culture through major programmes including Startup India and Stand-Up India, both designed to nurture and support budding entrepreneurs across sectors.

The state BJP leader also pointed to the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana as evidence of the government's commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs. He described these policy frameworks as instrumental in creating diverse economic opportunities for young people.

The job mela drew hundreds of participants from various professional backgrounds. Several attendees secured employment offers on the spot during the event, underscoring the effectiveness of such forums in connecting employers with candidates. Rao noted that these platforms serve a dual purpose—they reduce friction between recruiters and job hunters while simultaneously fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among participants.

In separate remarks, Rao reaffirmed the government's determination to advance women's reservation legislation, stating that the Bill would be reintroduced in Parliament. He cited the Prime Minister's explicit commitment to implementing the measure, suggesting it would expand women's involvement in economic and civic spheres.
