BJP Leader Rupesh Pandey Holds Discussions with Nepal's Vice President on Trade and Regional Development

Kathmandu — A high-level meeting took place between Bihar's BJP leader Rupesh Pandey and Nepal's Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, with discussions centred on deepening India-Nepal relations and fostering regional development.

The talks covered several key areas including cross-border trade, infrastructure projects, and enhanced connectivity between communities on both sides of the border.

Pandey highlighted the mutual potential for growth, stating that "the meeting was highly positive and constructive in nature. Nepal is witnessing accelerated development. Bihar and Nepal have significant scope to collaborate in trade, education, health and tourism sectors." He further advocated for streamlining customs procedures and supporting small and medium enterprises operating in border areas.

Vice President Yadav reaffirmed the deep historical bonds linking India and Nepal, underscoring his government's commitment to strengthening cooperative ties between the two nations. The two leaders identified several areas for future collaboration, including youth engagement programmes, joint economic initiatives, and bilateral trade exhibitions.

Both officials expressed optimism about the prospects of expanded cooperation across multiple sectors in the coming period.
