Goel TMT's BandBaajaBitiya Film Surpasses 200 Million Views Through Strategic Digital Campaign

May 6, 2026

Mumbai : The digital amplification campaign for Goel TMT's brand film BandBaajaBitiya, orchestrated by independent advertising agency BigTrunk Communications, has concluded with substantial reach and engagement metrics across digital platforms.

The campaign centred on a narrative featuring actor Gajraj Rao in the role of a father arriving with a wedding procession to retrieve his daughter following an experience of domestic abuse. The film explored interconnected themes of family dignity, protection, and support, positioning these values as central to Goel TMT's brand identity beyond its core infrastructure business.

The campaign presented a distinctive strategic consideration: the film extended beyond three minutes and developed its narrative gradually, without a conventional attention-grabbing opening—a significant challenge in an environment characterised by rapid content consumption and shortened viewer attention spans. Rather than restructuring the film itself, the strategic approach prioritised building a comprehensive digital framework designed to sustain viewer engagement through to the narrative's emotional conclusion.

This engagement-centred methodology incorporated a two-phase teaser rollout preceding the film's release. The initial teaser utilised Gajraj Rao to generate narrative curiosity, while the second teaser intensified audience interest without disclosing the central message. This approach established foundational conversations and ensured the film launched into a receptive digital landscape.

Following its February 16th release, the campaign maintained momentum through platform-specific content adaptations, influencer collaborations, and targeted distribution to high-affinity audiences across key regional markets. A layered distribution network encompassing premium digital publishers, entertainment platforms, industry networks, and community-focused channels enabled the narrative to traverse multiple audience segments and integrate into broader cultural discourse.

Continuous real-time analysis of audience sentiment, engagement patterns, and content shareability facilitated ongoing campaign refinement, maintaining focus on high-performing audience clusters. Instagram creators amplified relatability and shareability, while conversations on X accelerated scale through audience responses and dialogue. The narrative experienced particular momentum during International Women's Day, when it was contextualised within broader cultural conversations.

The campaign generated over 9 million interactions across platforms, comprising more than 4 million likes, approximately 30,000 comments, exceeding 2 million shares, and surpassing 500,000 saves. The film was organically featured across 250 plus news outlets and feature pages, substantially broadening visibility across diverse audience segments.

The campaign reached over 200 million views across Meta platforms and YouTube. Public figures including Smriti Irani, Priyanka Chaturvedi, and Shobhaa De amplified the film's reach through their social media channels, reinforcing its cultural significance.

Dinakar Menon, Managing Partner and Business Head at BigTrunk Communications, explained: "When we first evaluated the film, there were genuine concerns from the brand leadership about whether a three-minute narrative without a strong opening hook could hold attention in a fast-scrolling environment. Instead of reworking the story, the focus was on building the right ecosystem around it. The entire strategy was therefore built around ensuring audiences stayed engaged long enough to experience that impact. The response has been encouraging, with strong completion rates and meaningful conversations that indicate audiences were not just watching the film, but truly connecting with it."

O.R. Radhakrishnan, Creative Writer, noted: "The story came from real experiences of fathers who chose courage over convention. We wanted to move away from the usual idea of strength and explore something quieter and more meaningful, the strength to stand by your child. That shift from strength to support felt true to the brand and shaped the narrative in a very natural way."

Sandeep Goel, Director of Goel TMT, stated: "With BandBaajaBitiya, our objective was to highlight the importance of dignity, protection and family support while staying true to the values that define our brand. By focusing on support amid adversity, the film reinforces that real resilience is not just about standing tall, but about standing by, elevating the communication from product messaging to a value-driven statement. Through this narrative, the intent was to challenge category stereotypes and shape a more progressive voice for the brand, while the integrated digital strategy ensured the story reached audiences across regions and sparked meaningful conversations beyond the campaign."
