Hyderabad Traffic Restrictions Set for Bibi-ka-Alam Procession

Hyderabad's traffic authorities have put in place a comprehensive plan to manage congestion during Friday's Bibi-ka-Alam procession, with restrictions expected to be implemented from noon through 10 pm across the Old City.

The traffic curbs will impact multiple key arteries in the historic quarter, including those passing through Bibi-ka-Alawa, Dabeerpura, Etebar Chowk, Kotla Alija, Charminar, Gulzar House, Nayapul, Miralam Mandi, and Chaderghat.

D. Joel Davis, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), indicated that officers will reroute vehicles at different intersections in response to the procession's route and movement patterns.

Bus services operating under APSRTC and TGSRTC will be diverted through Afzalgunj and Rang Mahal from 10 am to 9 pm, the authorities announced.

The traffic police have urged drivers to steer clear of areas where the procession will pass and to utilise alternate routes where feasible. Commuters are encouraged to remain updated by monitoring traffic bulletins released by the Hyderabad Traffic Police throughout the day.
