BRS Leader Claims Minister Threatened Him Over Sand Mining Allegations

Hyderabad: A BRS leader from Mulugu district has levelled accusations that Minister Seethakka intimidated him following his public statements regarding an alleged Rs. 4,000 crore sand mining irregularity and his calls for an official inquiry.

Speaking to journalists in Mulugu on Friday, Bhukya Jampanna stated that satellite imagery had revealed the alleged sand mining violations. He called on the state government to initiate a thorough probe into the matter.

The BRS leader also raised concerns about construction work associated with the Medaram fair, alleging that substandard quality had led to a child sustaining a severe injury, including the loss of a limb. Jampanna contended that residents of the constituency were familiar with the incident and questioned the management of these projects.

According to Jampanna, whenever he questioned the reported distribution of hundreds of tippers to operators using benami arrangements, associates of Minister Seethakka responded with personal attacks and intimidation rather than addressing the substantive concerns.

Jampanna further asserted that the minister, who has secured three consecutive terms as an MLA, has not adequately safeguarded the welfare of tribal populations in the region. He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for constituents' interests in his capacity as a BRS representative.
