Deputy Chief Minister Pledges Rapid Resolution of Employee Grievances, Cabinet Review Imminent

Hyderabad: During discussions with government employee union leadership on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka committed to expediting action on persistent grievances affecting state staff.
The meeting, held at Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan, centred on a comprehensive cabinet review of employee-related matters. Bhatti Vikramarka underscored the government's dedication to addressing workforce concerns with both earnestness and accountability.
Acknowledging the indispensable role of government employees in the administration, the Deputy Chief Minister characterised staff members as essential intermediaries connecting the government to citizens. He stressed that this bridge function was vital for the effective delivery of public welfare programmes at the community level.
Representatives from multiple government employee unions attended the session, where Bhatti Vikramarka engaged directly with their leadership and responded to their grievances with encouraging statements about the government's willingness to act.
Union representatives responded positively to the government's stance, commending both improved fiscal management and concurrent attention to employee welfare. They specifically noted the punctual disbursement of monthly salaries beginning on the first of each month, as well as the monthly allocation of ₹1,000 crore designated for settling outstanding liabilities owed to retired employees.
The dialogue touched on several pressing concerns, particularly the rollout of the Pay Revision Commission recommendations and unresolved Dearness Allowance payments. Health insurance coverage emerged as another significant issue during the discussions.
Bhatti Vikramarka indicated that a Cabinet Sub-Committee would undertake a thorough examination of these matters, with a determination to be announced promptly. He further noted that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy views employee issues favourably, ensuring that all union demands would receive consideration at the highest level.
Attendees included representatives from the Telangana Government Employees Joint Action Committee, departmental officials, and senior administrators.
